Optional Extra is a lunchtime club which we run at Ivanhoe College. It is held on Tuesday lunchtimes for year 7s and on Wednesdays for years 8 and 9 in the Pitthivier Room.
The programme we run involves different games (good for using up some of their energy!) and a very short talk – we usually have around 30 young people coming so it has to keep their attention! After the club we go down to the cafeteria to have lunch with them – this is an amazing opportunity to get to know them better and God has given us some really good opportunities to talk about Him over our sandwiches!
