United Service

To mark the end of the ‘Week of prayer for Christian Unity’ there was a United Service on January 25th, which we were invited to lead. It was held at Ashby School and was an evening of great encouragement and enjoyment. The service spoke about how all the different generations can work together in our churches. We certainly had all generations taking part in the service, from 11 to 84! The worship was led by a group of young people who are involved in one of our clubs and it was wonderful to see God working through them.

Below is an extract from an e-mail we received after the service

‘Just to say thank you so much for the brilliant end to the week of Christian Unity - what can I say, I felt so ministered to, God spoke to me in my own role through Mark's message, in my work with older people through your intergenerational theme, in my own deep spirit through the worship and the beautiful pictures, and in my hopes for Ashby - especially through the last song. It was an evening of true hospitality. Please pass on my thanks to the whole team.’
