Matt

Matt

After working with Ashby Youth for Christ for nearly three years Matt is moving on. He is moving to Belfast and we will miss him greatly. While with us he has done some fantastic work with the young people and has set up drop-in clubs and football training, performed assemblies, organised trips away for young people, mentored young people.... The list goes on and on!!
His hard work and dedication has led to us having contact with many young people and has impacted on their lives. We are very grateful for all of his hard work and pray that he will be happy in his new life in Belfast.

Ivanhoe Nativity Assembly

For the last few years we have had the privilege of being invited by Ivanhoe College to perform a Christmas Nativity Assembly. This year was very encouraging for us because many of the young people we work with were prepared to take part in it, despite it being in front of all their peers. They performed a drama depicting God's love and grace, they sang and they took part in a nativity scene. It was really well received by staff and students alike. Roll on next December!!

Mulled Wine Evening

On the December 4th Heather Price hosted a mulled wine evening in order to raise funds for the work of Ashby Youth for Christ. It was a lovely evening with lots of people attending, all of whom gave generously and over £250 was raised from donations.
We would like to thank Heather for opening her home to us and putting so much work into making it an enjoyable and successful evening.

Fair-trade Hampers

We would like to extend our thanks to Alison Butler who, for the second year in a row, has raised money for Ashby Youth for Christ by making and then selling Fair-trade Christmas Hampers. She starts planning them as early as September and puts many hours into sourcing the Fair-trade products and then making the hampers. If you saw them I am sure you would agree that they looked fantastic and made wonderful presents. This year Alison raised £176.50! We really do appreciate all the hard work she does.
