GOD POD
Godpod is an after-school club based in 2 different primary schools once a week; open to all primary school ages. The one that I am involved in is run by myself and 3 other volunteers, 2 of whom are secondary school pupils. I have been blessed by being able to work alongside James and Callum who, for over a year now, have dedicated their time to take part in the leadership of the club. They not only volunteer their time and assist in the running of the club, but they also take it in turn to plan the weekly club activities. Both James and Callum are an amazing asset to the team.
Godpod involves a lot of fun activities and chance to talk about God to kids from Christian and non-Christian backgrounds. It is enjoyable and sometimes testing, and is an amazing opportunity that God has given us.

SKATE TRIP TO CORBY
During the October break, Matt & I took a group of young skaters, who we meet when we do detached youth work around Ashby, to 'The Alley' indoor skate park at Corby. More young people came along than expected, so we had to take extra vehicles - and go down the motorway in convoy!! We managed to all have a really good day, and avoid any injuries (apart from friction burns from sliding down the vert ramp!!).
It was good to see everybody have a go at something. Some of the ramps were new to them (especially the vert ramp- the tallest in the skate park!) and seeing them overcoming their initial nerves and going for it was great!! Everybody had fun, and when they had left us, they went over to the skate park at Hood Park- they couldn't get enough!!
