Every week, AYFC has contact with hundreds of adults and children through various projects which have been set up to introduce Ashby to God and get young Christians closer to Him. We have a good working relationship with several schools and churches. We are also involved in one-to-one work with young people providing a friend and mentor when they need it. More info below:

School Assemblies (Top)
  AYFC holds school assemblies in 14 primary schools in and around Ashby twice a term. We also do regular assemblies at Ivanhoe College.

Optional Extra (Top)
  'Optional Extra' (OE for short) is a Ivanhoe lunchtime club held on Tuesday and Wednesday for the school pupils. (More Info)

Lessons (Top)
  AYFC are involved in R.E., PHSE and Citizenship lessons throught the year in some local schools.

Residential Trips (Top)
  During the year our youth workers often provide support to local schools by joining them on their residential trips. These are usually holidays that involve lots of outdoor activities, mud and fun!

Skaters Club (Top)

Bosnia (Top)
  Summer camps for children and young people from Bosnia Herzegovina (BiH) have been running since the (1992-1995) war. Moldova (Top)
  For many years, Ashby Youth for Christ has raised money to support the work of Youth for Christ in Moldova. Each year in the frantic run-up to Christmas Vernon, and some of our young people, cook and serve meals to weary shoppers and the money raised is used by Moldova YFC to care for the many street kids that they work with.
